Beyonce Knowles, with her fame and fortune, has catapulted the lemon juice cayenne pepper diet into instant fame. She has reportedly used that diet to lose some unwanted weight. Others who followed suit also testify that it works. But because the juice cayenne pepper diet is almost near to fasting – you can’t tell if you lost the weight because you ate way less than usual or is it really because of the cayenne pepper and the lemon juice?
To give credit, lemon and cayenne pepper has been known to have great health benefits and some healing properties. Both ingredients to the juice cayenne pepper diet are full of vitamins and minerals that our body needs. Lemons have plenty of Vitamin C which boosts the immune system while cayenne pepper acts as an anti-oxidant to help get rid of the free radicals stored in the body.
The lemon juice and cayenne pepper diet also includes maple syrup in the juice recipe. The maple syrup acts as a natural sweetener and adds zest to the flavor. It also has vitamins and minerals that are essential to good health.
The way the juice cayenne pepper diet works is that the individual does not take in anything other than the juice concoction for weeks. This supposedly helps to cleanse the body of toxins and other such bad stuff. And the fact that you are not eating any solid food of course helps in losing weight.
Because it entails such drastic changes of diet, this program is not recommended for all people. Doctors must be consulted first before entering into any kind of diet program or weight loss program because you have to make sure your body can take the changes. Or else, you may crash and burn and do more damage than good.
The juice cayenne pepper diet is relatively easy and hardly complicated. The juice itself is easy to prepare. All you have to do is mix and shake two tablespoons of lemon juice or lime juice, two tablespoons of maple syrup, a dash of cayenne pepper, water and you have your juice cayenne pepper diet! It’s that easy. However, don’t let the easy part fool you. The tough part of this whole diet program is that you have to struggle mentally with your appetite and desire for food. Those who cannot handle not eating solid foods are better off using some other diet program.
But for those who can sustain the juice cayenne pepper diet will be rewarded with results. Those who have tried it said that they lost around 3-5 kilograms a week. They also said that they felt healthier and cleaner. If you are on the juice cayenne pepper diet, it is not suggested to you also engage in strenuous activities. Since you are taking in less and less carbohydrates, your body might not be able to handle extreme activities because it has less energy. You can continue your gym and physical program after you eat solid foods again.
After a length of time of just drinking cayenne pepper and lemon juice, you must slowly introduce solid foods to your system. Eat soups first and then soft vegetables before venturing into meats.
